Should parents be allowed to hit their children?

Imagine walking through a supermarket, and you see a 4 year old, cursing his mother out. You say to yourself “That’s a shame, he needs a beating.” Should parents be allowed to hit their children? I think they should because it teaches children discipline, there should be limitations, and there’s a difference between child abuse and a whipping.

My first reason is because it teaches children discipline. It teaches children discipline because it’s a forceful way of showing kids what they did was wrong. I think by whipping your child it won’t only show discipline but it will show respect too. Respect means “An act of giving particular attention.” By beating your child he/she would understand what respect and obedience is.

Not only does hitting you child show discipline, but also I think there should be limitations on how you beat your child. There shouldn’t be child abuse such as: hitting a child with a remote. Verbal abuse: cursing your child out, and emotional abuse: calling your child names and making them think bas thoughts about themselves. As in my scenario the person said, “He should get a beating” He deserved one because he was being disrespectful to his mother.

Lastly, I believe there’s a difference between child abuse and a child whipping. Child abuse is when you constantly hit or punish a child for a personal reason, or just cause. An example of child abuse is from the story Huckleberry Fin. Huck's father beat him, tortured him, and put him in the cabin with no food or water. A child whipping is when you beat a child with a reason such as disrespect, disobendience. Etc.

In conclusion, we're in the 21st century where disrespect is everywhere: music, school, and streets. Why should it be in your home too? You can change that. I believe parents should beat their child because it shows discipline and respect. What do you believe?

HuckleBerry Fin in CHS

Ever read a book that got you so angry to read? you threw it down because you couldn't understand how someone could publish this. I have.I think Huckleberry Fin should not betaught in CHS because it doesn't use proper grammer, it influence kids to do wrong, and it's very challenging to kids our age.

First reason HuckleBerry Fin should be banned in CHS is because it uses bad grammer. It uses bad grammer because the book uses racial slurs. It uses racial slurs because it uses the word "nigger" alot. It also doesn't uses proper sentences because the book opens as "you don't know about me"

Secondly, Huck Finn should be banned because it influences kids to do wrong. It shows kids wrong because in the book the kids were smoking, cursing, and gangs. In the story Tom Sawyer started a gang and made them sign a blood oath.

Lastly, the book should be banned because it's a very challenging book to kids our age. Its very hard to understand and it's a college based book.

In conclusion, the book is complicated and wrong for CHS. It's wrong because it uses improper grammer, influence kids to do wrong, and it's too challenging for kids my age.
